WHAT WE BELIEVE

The vision of Middle Creek Church is reaching out with the gospel of Jesus Christ to those near and far, transforming lives and equipping them to be fruitful.

We are a body of believers within the Universal Church who believe salvation is only by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.  We earnestly desire to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ through worship, expounding the Scriptures, nurture and fellowship. Our goal is to make disciples of all nations by preaching the gospel, serving one another and sharing personal testimony. We endeavor to present every person "complete in Christ" at the day of His revelation.

OUR BELIEFS:

  • We believe there is one Almighty God eternally existent in three distinct, co-equal Persons:  God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  (1 Corinthians 8:6, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 10:30).

  • We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, the value of His sin atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the grave, ascension to heaven, and His future return to earth (John 1:14, John 3:14-17, 1 Corinthians 15:1-7, 2 Corinthians 5:21).

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who indwells all Christians (Romans 8:9-11).

  • We believe that the Bible is the Divinely inspired, inerrant Word of God.  It is our final authority for belief and practices.  (2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 1:19-21)

  • We believe God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin – seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 John 1:9).

  • We believe that the mission of the church is to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people (Matthew 28:19-20).

  • We  observe the practices of baptism by trine immersion as a symbol of cleansing from sin and a new life in Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:38), of love feast, including feet washing, the fellowship meal and communion (John 13:1-20, Luke 22:20, John 13:4, 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, Matthew 26:26-30), and of anointing for healing in the name of the Lord (James 5:13-18, Mark 6:13).
