Middle Creek Church recognizes that the vitality of its ministries is a measure of the health of its members and families; in turn, those members and families look for a safe, nurturing environment in which to grow. There is also have a Family Life Ministries team to plan programs designed to support the families and marriages in our congregation.
Wednesday Family Nights involve a broad mix of activities for all families. The kitchen committee provides a buffet-style meal before the adults, teens and children adjourn to activities and age-appropriate topical studies.
To learn more about Family Life Ministry, contact Tony Eberly
Every other year, we host a Marriage Enrichment Weekend featuring well-known musicians, singers, and speakers. In addition, Middle Creek supports the Marriage Encounter and the Engaged Encounter retreats which are offered at other locations.
First and third Wednesday evenings of each month (September - March).
A buffet-style meal is provided from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
Classes for all ages and Nursery Care from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
WINTER ADULT SCHEDULE
Adult sessions for the Fall months will be based on the
Ray Vander Lann's video series: "Cultures in Conflict"
How do you live in a culture where the worldview conflicts with Christianity? Learn from Paul as he presents his beliefs to the most powerful court in Athens and settles among the Greco-Romans of Corinth, who valued wealth and class, worship of gods, and decadent pleasure-seeking above all else.
January 15 - (Session 1) "Engaging the Mind: Paul in the Stoa of Athens"
February 5 - (Session 2) "Engaging the Heart: Paul Before the Areopagus"
February 19 - (Session 3) "Turning Weakness into Strength"
March 5 - (Session 4) "The Lord's Supper: Discerning the Body"
March 19 (Session 5) "Transforming the Chaos"
There is a lot of flexibility regarding how small groups are formed, when they meet and what they study. Some of the groups are mostly younger people, some are mostly older, while others are a mix of age groups. If you have questions about small groups or have an interest in joining one, contact John Hess.

Men connect through Saturday breakfast programs, sports and hobbies, topical studies, and mentoring relationships. To learn more about Men's Ministry, contact Todd Bomberger.
The Senior Ministry at Middle Creek Church meets four times per year for fellowship. They faithfully remember their class members in nursing homes with plants at Easter and Christmas. In addition, they enjoy a Golden Age Dinner, Senior Days at Woodcrest Retreat and Camp Swatara.
On an annual basis, the Seniors attend the Senior Adult Spring Fellowship Banquet, a Lancaster County Church of the Brethren event, which is often held at Middle Creek Church. The Seniors also enjoy the Senior Adult Fall Fellowship Banquet of the Atlantic Northeast District of the Church of the Brethren.
Prayer is an essential part of congregational life at Middle Creek Church. Each Sunday bulletin contains an insert dedicated to prayer concerns and updates. During the week, urgent or special prayer requests go out by phone and email. On Saturday mornings, men gather at 6:30 to pray.
